Okay so due to some serious BS (Machine shop messing up twice with stuff, driveshaft not being made properly, mechanic going on vacation, engine still not even running...)
I'm bringing the wife's 1999 Hyundai Accent GS on the
Obviously the 425hp Supra won't be ready for the rally so I am looking for people that would be cool enough to ride in their car (and perhaps film why not) since I can't take my effin car, and I will DEFINITELY be tired of driving the Hyundai after driving it 3000 miles to NYC from Vancouver, WA.
So step right up folks.
I remember previously talking to Alex who said he'd let me ride in and perhaps even drive his NSX *woot*.
Man I should have given my car a sweet nick name like "danger" but sadly it's known as the "Skank Tank". Or as I have blessed it with the name of "bubbles", she's got a bit of a bubble butt.
Hopefully my wifes car will not look like your Danger Kia after the rally is done hehe.
The only good thing that this is going to alloy me to do is to complete all the stuff I wasn't going to have time to do, like the engine break in, upgrading the head to full titanium retainers & oversize valves, even bigger turbo, FFIM, water/methanol injection, full suspension, finish the roof scoop, and get the onboard computer installed & working. (Which is a lot but I can do that within the next year).
I was really hoping to bring it this year as well, I guess I shouldn't have spent all that money upgrading it... but I know in the end it will be worth it.
You know... for about a grand you could get the Accent wrapped to look like a Mark II. I mean... the Mark II is about 20 inches longer, but it's about the same width. And they're both hatchbacks.
Because if you were gonna spend a grand on the Accent it'd be on wrapping it, right?
Arkansawwwwwww, we even type with a southern drawl!

You know Pat Daddy made a really good point to us. It really doesn't matter what the hell it is we are bringing, as long as we get to come along and have yet another year of a great experience. I'm looking forward to seeing you all again and our car may not be the best one out there but what we lack in style and performance we will definately bring in character and personality!
This is how I'm looking at it and if you wanna rain on my parade I will bring down upon you my fury!!! (that or pee)
Dale I would hate to put people to even more shame with my sweet style if I rolled up in something like that. Purple is the color of envy and you'll all be seein' me waaaaaaay back in your rear view mirror, knowing "holy shit that things gets 38mpg on the highway?!?!"
