its relatively simple, the 200/700/900 were design to fit 4cyl and v6 and straight 6, so i had to accommodate the length of a straight 6, and the width of a v6.

its almost a drop in, other than fabricating engine mounts and tranny mounts, me and my buddy actually did the swap few yrs back, with a 302 and a T5 into a 760 wagon, it sounded bad ass and take off like a bat when the nitrous is sprayed.

here's a clip of the exhaust

I don't think Volvo had that in mind when building that car.

But geeeez.

Evolve is actually sweet with their V50 S40 stuff.

Heico is cool, but a bit far away in support.

IPD does a good job too.

Heico has great products, but try BSR as well in Sweden, lots of their products are race-proven, not to mention they came up with some serious wacky crazy stuff.

But like others said, if technical support is extremely important to you, go IPD, especially for software etc.

Check this one out from BSR.

It began as a Focus ST220, but they took out the whole drivetrain, bought a brand new one from Volvo with AWD, put a honking turbo, lighten it a bunch, called it the ST450X, it dyno'd 400whp and did 1/4 in low 11's.

As a shameless plug, BSR also use our brake systtem, here you can see the EVO12

I would go with iPd I have never had a bad dealing with that company.

iPd soft-loader is a great and easy way to increase your power.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
EuroSport Tuning is another company I have worked with and had great service and they seem to have a bit more parts for the V50's. They also have something similar to the iPd softloader which is the PPC ECU tuner, estimating that will bring your power up to 250hp and 280ft-lbs at crank. Being that you have an automatic(my guess) the torque will be limited in at least 1st maybe 2nd(haven't looked that much into the Volvo automatics past the s70 series) but 3rd gear will pull like a mother.

I would suggest an exhaust because the Volvo factory systems kill the great sound of the 5cyc, so I would just recommend ECU tune as it will give you more power than a similar costing exhaust.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
And to keep the pictures coming...

iPd Anti-Sway bars and big brake kit

EuroSport Tuning or HEICO exhaust. Not many engine upgrades for the V8 unfortunately
With those systems the spare wheel and tire has to be taken out.

That is about all worth doing, HEICO has a body kit for $1900

A upper iPd mesh grill brings and interesting look to the car but its just cosmetic

Cool. I'd need to keep the spare wheel and tire set up. I like the bump guard w/ off road lamps, may do that. Already have the OEM running boards/bars......

This Cross Country looks insane too.

Default I've got the Volvo Love

Sam!! I love that Blue coupe!!!

I still miss my old wagon... that thing was awesome:

I really love the looks and what I am hearing about the C30.

Too bad they don't have a 300 hp rwd version, lol.

I would actually like to see the C30 R awd. But I doubt that would ever happen

I doubt Volvo will ever have another RWD car they are so safety focused

my first car was a 740 estate. I traded it when I got the beetle, but I should have kept it.

I was talking about the P544. I am very familiar with 240s.

My 240 is on the previous page.
