t3h new whip!!
Here is my new car, 1997 Volvo 850 T5 wagon with 142,000 miles on the clock. I just threw a K&N on it and it has a few minor upgrades to get better mpg and more power, partial stage 0 (tune up), gut cat, and o2 mechanical fix. Otherwise she will stay stock and be sold in the spring. Oh, it gets over 25mpg @80mph and will be used to go pick up the STi's engine from Axis in St. Louis later this month.

From the look of that slide, I'd say it's FWD?
Pretty sweet, though. My friend John's brother has an 850R wagon.
Will the STi be on the road for winter, or what?

Yup FWD, but it rotates like awd.
The STi's motor is done, but the Kelford cams are on back order and the ACT clutch is too. Then new charge pipes have to be fabbed up with a blow through MAF. Fab up 4" short ram intake. Bigger alky nossle. Coat fmic. Possibly coat up pipe. Tune. So there is another month right there. Then it would need winter tires and a snowboard rack. So I just picked up the volvo so that I could get the GN in storage and have a good winter car while the STi was down.

Makes sense, but it sucks that you won't get to enjoy the STi in wintertime. Although, we know how you are with snowbanks
The STi is going to be a BEAST when done. I bet GT40R in your future.

Looks like a nice daily beater. I just picked up an e34 5 series, which may end up being boosted
Are you doing the assembly yourself on the STi?
