SPEEDtv update? - REVmatch

Wondering when or if this years rally is going to make it to SPEED?

There is made for TV rally that is said to be on speed in febuary and they haven't even filmed it yet so I am wondering why I haven't heard anything more about the AKA on Speed?

It was posted in a private forum, the cliffs:

TV is a complicated business and although there were initial agreements set up Speed will not be airing it. The DVD is still on track though.

Yeah this was discussed in teh 2008 members forum, but unfortunate circumstances led to it not being aired, but there will be one kick ass (hopefully unrated) dvd, which should be even better.

On a side note, I think the rally show your referring to is the Bull Run reality show.

I had someone ask me to do this and was recommended by a friend that has done the Bull Run on the basis that if you were in the reality TV show, they automatically covered your entry fee into the actual Bull Run Rally for the following year.

I understood it was to start sometime this or next week, but did not know when it was airing.

Yeah my source of the Air date came from CarDomain, and Mr. Angry the guy with the charger.

Getting a free entry to the real run would be nice but I would not want to subject my car to those challenges nor do I have a car that is unique enough to get selected

I was approached to do the Bullrun reality show as well. Jumped through all the hoops, filled out mass amounts of paperwork and overnighted them all back, only to be cut last minute (for a Pontiac Solstice iirc!).
They came to me only to blow me off when they think they've found something better.
Guess that's Hollywood for you.

Certainly would of had an amazing chance with the fuel cell in the Volvo that was the biggest issue for the "rally" on tv was when to fuel up

My Angry is the only one on the show with real driving experience as he is an NASA intructor.

They considered letting me run a bike for the first bull run TV show but then scratched the idea when I wouldn't drive through a plate glass window for the "drifting" challenge...

Yea, I never considered it because I am working and can't take the time off anyway.
But I thought I had heard the reality show was pretty stupid.

I looked at the requirements and immediately saw the clause 'Applicants need to understand what Bullrun is and be prepared to put their vehicles through Bullrun challenges'. That instantly put me off even thinking to look into it further to recommend to other people.

Yeah Bull Run is a fucking Joke. They make you put your vehicle through stuff that's not even automotive related. Sorry but even with my 23 yro supra I'm NOT driving it through glass and shit. That's fucking stupid. Give me a rental and I'll consider it, but not my car.

Is there possibly going to be an electronic release of the AKA DVD?? As in a downloadable format? Who is working on releasing said DVD, and any word on release date?
