just got the magazine today road and track says the now discontinued Skyline GT-R R34 will be made once again in limited numbers called the Z-tune. hp is 495 torque is 398. 0-60 3sec flat, quarter mile 10.1 skidpad at 1.01g. If this is all true that would make this the fastest car in the us market made in the last 15 years. price is 170,000, and supposedly will be marketed in the U.S. looks liek there will only be 20.

i read that.
sounds like they found 22 or so low mileage (under 30k) R34s, rebuilt them, and are selling them as the Z-tune in 2007 or so. hopefully that's enough time for me to turn 25, get an insurance drop, and be able to afford one. but moving into manhattan would set me back.

Too much for a Skyline. I know it is 1 of 20 and faster than an Enzo. But I would much rather have an R34 with some major modifications do the same thing for much less cash. Wonder if they come with a warranty?

It has a full warranty backed by NISMO and the engineers tell the buyers to make it a daily driver. What other car company tell the customer to drive it daily. That car is the best thing since slice bread. Only for 170K and only 20 of them ( keeping the car value higher than other supercars). And more than half of them are brought by the best racers of Japan. It makes me want to cry that the Car god bless us with a car that is better than all others at a fourth of the cost.
