Well I plan on going to the Rally in 2006. I would have made it this year if I wasnt getting deployed to Iraq. I drive a supercharged Mitsubishi 3rd Generation eclipse. But my question is do people ever go on this rally riding solo or is it that pretty much every one has a co-driver?
This year, a few people did it. For the most part, I'd highly recommend having a co-driver. 2006 will have some longer legs, and doing them alone can be dangerous. It can also get monotonous.
That being said, even if you do it alone, it will not be difficult to get various co-drivers from other cars to switch off with you.

"Well, that sucks. That's like a $300 windshield."

As someone who had no permanent Co Driver this past year - I would recommend bringing one. However there are quite a few that will ride. Sometimes, there are cars that have 3 drivers, and they feel a little cramped.

Thanks, I will be back in March so I guess thats plenty of time before the start of the rally. My car should be up and running in April or so, i'm getting a new engine, stripping out the supercharger and adding a turbo and having the engine built up. And hopefully some new paint and wheels and i'll be ready to go.
