Default Possible car for next year

I was thinking about using a rental next year, to keep the miles off the STi. Im at 23,000 in 9 months. I know for a fact that you can rent jags from one of the main car rentals. I was thinking XK8, top speed of 155, gets there quick enough, burnouts are available, and handles very well at the speeds expected. Then I was thinking about gutting the cat, cel fix, gutting the mufflers, stealing a K&N outta my moms jag for a few days, and taking off some un-needed weight. Anyone think that it would be worth the $$ or, get more parts for very cheap again (sponsorship) and put another 4-5,000 miles on my car?

Nick

My mom has an XKR coupe. I was just thinkin for top end and some performance. Unfortunatly it looks like the best Jag I could get would be a XJ8. So it would ride nice, but minus the oomph. I think it is back to the Subie unless I find somthing good.

Damn, an Aztek in 05 would be like a repeat of the Albuquerque girl in 04.

Don't worry about miles. I got 63K+ miles on a 2004 car that isn't daily driven.

Haha, good mileage. I remember being slightly whiny that my m3 got ~20mpg overall. I babied the hell out of most of a tank in the STi, and got 16.8mpg as my all-time high.
