This happend out by me. Both porsches are drivers in alot of the local autoXs.
The only reason that I post this is because we have to remember to look out for the dumb fucks that jet to the left lane w/o using their mirrors. Anybody from '04 remember the tauras that was cutting infront of us?

Porsches duel at 130 mph on U.S. 131

WAYLAND-- Police say two Porches racing at 130 mph on U.S. 131 led to a crash that injured a Hamilton couple and sent the speeding drivers to jail under suspicion of drunken driving.
One of the northbound Porches hit the rear of the couple's car, sending it airborne before it rolled four times and landed in the southbound lanes, police said.
"You just hang on for your dear life," Audrey VerBeek, 22, said today at home, where she and her husband, Matthew, 23, are recovering from injuries.
Police said Craig Garrett, 47, of Kentwood, accompanied by his 15-year-old son, raced his black Porsche against an orange Porsche driven by a 50-year-old Wyoming man, a relative. The accident occurred just after 6 p.m. Saturday.
The VerBeeks were in the left lane going 70 mph when Garrett's Porsche slammed into their Mercury near 146th Avenue, police said.
"Pretty much we were just driving and got nailed. We had no clue it was coming," Audrey VerBeek said.
She said her husband appeared to be knocked out briefly, but he soon jumped out to check on her. She suffered injuries to her lower body, and had trouble walking. She said several passers-by stopped to help.
The couple have a 4-year-old daughter who insisted on staying with grandparents rather than coming along in the car. The couple looked at the car seat where their daughter would have been and didn't want to think about what could have happened.
On Sunday a state police trooper visited and told the husband: "If you're not a believer, you better be now."
He's laid off from his heating-and-cooling job; she attends Grand Valley State University with plans to be a teacher.
Garrett suffered minor injuries, and his son, Michael, was uninjured and picked up by his mother at the scene, police said.
"It was incredible luck for everybody involved," state trooper Chris Haywood said.
The Porsche drivers had drinks in Battle Creek before stopping at Shelbyville for more, Haywood said.
The 15-year-old told police he looked at the speedometer before the crash, and it read 130 mph. His father also was charged with child endangerment.
The driver of the other Porsche, whose name was not on the police report, left the crash scene, police said. Police tracked him down later that night. The relationship of the Porsche drivers was not immediately available.
Apparently you also have to look out for the dumb fucks that drink and drive, put other drivers in danger on public roads at 130mph, and leave the scene of an accident.
i don't know about this. if you're going 70mph and a guy's coming up at you at 130mph you really can't be cutting anyone off.
there's just not enough time to see this coming or to react. in the rear view it just looks like a car, but then half a second later the guys doing 130mph is on your ass.
poor judgement by the guys in the porsches.
looks like the married couple who's husband just lost his job is going to be collecting some cash.
Anybody else think that the 15 year old may have been impbellishing with the speed? The orange porsche was an 80's n/a 911, the black one was a 993 turbo, I don't think the orange one would have been able to keep up if they were doing 130mph.

How is there suspicion? Over .08 illegal, under .08 legal. Anyhoo, drinking and driving ftl.
chances are they weren't truly racing but just toying around.
meaning, the faster car was probably waiting for the slower car most of the time and just both guys having some fun. i'm sure we've all been there when they're toying with somone on the highway and one person is faster then the other.
