I'd stick with the m3, subaru's are very problematic, and besides, rwd is way more fun.

I have had two Subaru's. A 2003 WRX, and now a 2004 WRX STi. The only problem that I have had was with the 03 WRX, blew up the trans. That was the weak 5 spd, and it was covered under warranty. The STi has a very strong 6spd. Stock, never had any problems. With all season tires instead of the stock summer tires I ran a 13.239@101, so it is pretty damn fast. I highly reccomend it.

Thats the only way to properly break in a car: Drive it like you stole it.
