Default Oh you dirty dirty MAF you. Come clean...in the thread. 56k go away.

Seriously if you have 56k and driving a R, get your priority straight.

Oh my MAF was naughty. It played around in the oil too long.... Sorry for the big pics. But it needed attention to detail. 60k miles...

Here comes CRC to the RESCUE

Ahhh Clean at last......

F*CK you Tamperproof Torx.

** I purchased my CRC Cleaner from NAPA, but please note that IPD does sell it as well. So if your doing some cleaning, pick up a can because its really something you should look into cleaning. Instructions Take out MAF Take off lid to CRC Maf cleaner Use little red straw Shake can Test spray. Use in small sprays 4" away from MAF and Element Let it drip out as you do one side at a time. Let it dry.... *wave your MAF in the air like you don't care*...but don't drop the MAF. Or your gonna be mad. Clean MAF tube. Re-install.

Dunno yet. 1 bolt was completely gone on my down pipe.

One was almost backed out all the way.

So theres a huge leak before the 1st o2 sensor. Thats another issue, could be causing it to run rich etc.. etc.

I'd say so!

Ever think of safety wiring them so they can't back out?

Now that I know your cheap and easy what is your numebr? lol

Search for Drilled Bolts, Safety wire bolts etc.

You could also drill out your own bolts if need be.

Nice! I can't believe that thing still worked with all of that oil... is your MAF blowthrough? How did it get that dirty?!

Edit: Nevermind, it obviously isn't blowthrough. WTF filter are you running, and why does it have so much oil on it?

I safety-wired my old m3's oil pump nut. Good stuff!

I belive its just blow-by from the factory PCV system. Which is NOT clogged.

My filter used to be a K&N, but it was never re-oiled.

Its motor oil, from the smell.... My Intercooler piping is coated in it. Its a pretty dirty system in the Volvo.

Mafs just get dirty over time, but when ur using an oiled Airfilter they get dirty all the time and u should clean the maf at every other oil change or so.

We did all the product testing for CRC and the cleaner works awesome!! Check the back of the Can our names on it

If ya guys want me to get into more detail I can...

Vince, I'd certainly be interested in hearing about the testing you guys did. More info is never a bad thing!
