Will have use of the area around the test track, but we should really restrict the test track to use as a walking path around the event. If we allow cars on the test track we run the risk of someone getting the wrong idea. I just got off the phone with Tricia from Reedman-Toll (who has done her research and is watching these threads) and we should have the availability to use the given space however we deem necessary, as long as we can maintain a good amount of order throughout the day.

yeah I think as long as we stay on top of everything we should be fine.....we have enough people that are connected with us to police the event...lets just get Jay a blowneuros security shirt and let him do his thing

can you rent those removeable rubber speed bumps....it might annoy people but it will keep things under control no matter what

If I understood correctly, Reedman-Toll will be providing some security, and we will be providing some of our own to help "police" the event. We will also need to speak with the township to see what needs to be done about traffic. We will only be able to use the southbound 213 entrance, so we need to find a way to discourage people pulling a U-turn at Woodbourne Rd.

Reedman-Toll is a fairly large target for the township in the sense that they can see pretty much anything that happens there, so we need to make sure everything is done with the best interest of Reedman-Toll and BlownEuros in mind.

If I remember correctly, PT has some connections with local law enforcement. A good donation to them should be able to secure a some police presence to ensure (a) people keep it under control and (b) help with the traffic situation.

yup, the big concern is the traffic and how to funnel everyone in. I am going to direct them around the dealership on the site, but that won't stop people who google the directions or use a GPS. We should probably also look into some signage which might help the day of.

I think with the right presence of police, secuirty etc and surrounding the track with cars people will stay on the safe side. We could even have vendors setup on the track to remove all doubt.

excellent, can't wait...kate's cabby is getting painted on thursday so she's ready to roll...as for me---i used the last two BE GTGs as my Deadline, so here goes, "my squareback will done and ready to go by April 5th"

so if it's still black with a white roof, that means it's NOT Done and i missed my goal again

once the flyer is ready to go, i'll post it up on the aircooled sites too! (Ost Kuste, Cultwagen, MEAT, thesamba, DasFolks, SJVWC, and a few others)

I'm officially kicking off the Old City Oil Drippers in Feb, so i'll make it an actual cruise to the BE GTG!!!

do you think Reedman would let us borrow a car carrier to get a cool photo like this....saw this hanging in Target the other night...look at that 1st car on there!!!!

BES site is pretty much done for right now. I will add elements as I get them done like the donation page and the ticket purchase. Feel free to look it over and let me know if you see any changes that need to be made in function or grammer, spelling, etc. I will open up the site once people look it over.

first thing tomorrow morning i'm updating the main site with the event info and link to BES.com. In the past two days we have seen a 1050% increase in traffic to BlownEuros.com

Once we have a flyer I've talked to some admins on a few other forums about getting sticky threads in their events sections or forum wide and I'll be hitting those.

thanks brian, i don't think they will let us use one of their trucks for a shot like that, but there are many places where you could get a nice photoshoot going in the property.

blake i will get some pics up from the last years meets tonight. also can you talk to that radio station?
