need everyone to visit a website (google count), to help my mom
My mom started her own law office in San Diego recently. She also started a new website for it. However, when her name is googled it goes to her previous employer. If you could visit her site below, it would be appreciated.
After thinking about this and looking further into your Mom's new site I think I have a few tips for you.
1. Not sure that clicking on her site really does anything.
2. If it's just your Mom's name you're trying to make rank #1, it needs to be used as much as possible within the site. Make different pages within the site with contact info and maybe a bio and background information, maybe more information about why she started her own firm etc....Throw her name out on the site 100000 times.
3. If you're trying to get away from her ex-employer, she propably shouldn't mention the law firms name within her own site, especially on a page this small.

Good luck.
Agreed....and if you're trying to get her site to the top of the search results, you need to have links around the internet for the keywords you're looking for. For instance, if you wanted to be a high result for "law firm," you'd get higher up the list by having more links on other sites with the text "law firm" and a link to her page. That's how google's pagerank works
Nick, did you know that Chris and I work on helping businesses revamp their businesses so that they get more online exposure?
For example, you should talk to Chris about using google ad words. You can pay to have your mum's website shoot up to top of a google search. It's slightly more complicated than that of course, but give a call sometime. We'd love to hear form you anyway. It's been a while.
Thanks you two. I think that whomever my mom hired for her website is a moron. She seems to have been given advice that is conflicting with what EVERYONE else has said.
