Looks like a sick motorcycle....

Hahah nice specialized.

My first 2 jobs were at bike shops in High School. The 9 bikes I had over the years costed way too much$...

I'm now reduced to

Ski Bike

For a regular bashing machine:

I've owned a bunch of GT LTS/STS, Zaskar etc.. Specialized has always won me over, went through a few FSR's then moved onto the Big Hit series which is the 2 pictured.

I also bought a Fuji 3.0 Hybrid Road bike. Should get that one in sometime on Thursday. I am up to 37.5 miles in one day so far. It is my goal to do a Sprint Tiathalon by the end of this year. Up to this point I been using a Walmart Special Schwinn Mountain Bike. It finally broke on me during the last 10 miles of my ride on Saturday. Hard to get any speed when you have a brake dragging. However I finished the ride under my own steam.

Haha, nice. Good to train on a Mountain bike, and even a beach cruiser if you can really push yourself. Due to the excess weight of the Mountain bike/beach cruiser it makes riding a roadie pretty easy. The only change will be in the geometry of the road bike. Thoes Fuji bikes are great deals, as long as its tuned properly and retuned after the chain/cables/spokes stretch they will do the job.

Best of luck on the Triathlon, its a great achievement. Then you can hit up a century ride.

Its a conversion kit using junior ski's and pegs on the frame. Its stupidly simple, although they're pretty expensive for just CNC'ed aluminum. Now if someone could replicate it....

If there happens to be a 2-3 day snow gathering from you folks over in the NE area, I'd be more than happy to come out and play for a winter get together. .

I can break the bike down by taking off the rear suspension triangle and it all fits in a suitcase.

Well, I could have all the parts you need to do this conversion done if you either sent me the parts to spec out or spec'ed them out for me.... just saying....

I have been trying to get back into riding my bike ever since I moved down here to Houston. I've been focusing on doing it mid-day in the hot sun to make my body more used to it. Thus far I've been riding 15 miles continuous in about 1 hour or less. I'm pretty happy with that. This past weekend I ended up going over 50 miles, and didn't use my car once. It felt pretty damn good too.

Biking in Houston is nothing like NY....not one damn hill! UGH haha

I ride an older version of this trek pretty much.
