Default Monthly "Drift Nirvana" at Summit Point

Attended the first event last week and had a f'ing blast. Totally chill environment and a pretty much "run when you want" and "how much you want" schedule.

Practice or compete.

I paid $75 (all day) for the "Washington Circuit". It's a new stretch of pavement with multiple circumference circles to practice and learn on. Perfect for getting the switchbacks down

If you're really a newb and a little iffy about getting it sideways they even have a lubed up skid pad to get used to it on.

We'll be setting up BBQ's and meets this coming year at the track when we'll be going.

Check it out

I wish I tried that back when I had the Z. She was so much more slippery than the porsche. But I think that's a good thing.

Robbie, I'm definitely going to try and make it down for one or two with you guys this summer. Just can't conflict with any days I'm in Canada.

isnt the point of paying that much for a car to get something that handles good and keeps traction?

yea.. its a funny story.. I munched up that bumper a bit in an 'extracurricular drifting session' and repaired it myself.. with fiberglass patch and all! ... Alas.. this why I'm a computer guy.. fix failed..
...

...

onto the story..

I was "running the kiddy pool" as Jenns put it (advising the noobs on the skid pad) and decided that since the pad was nice and dry, it was my turn to play for a bit.. I had given 3 other little kids rides, and was hammering the car into a huge puddle on the back side of the skid pad.. nailing it at the top of second hard.. last kid in the car.. nailed the puddle fast, and came around again... "humm.. whats that?.. Oh.. umm.. that looks like part of my bumper." Little kid and I start LOLing .. we take a few more passes and I stop and pick it up from a guy that ran out to grab it. LOL

water and speed > INGs rear half assed repaired by the wing.
