1. First off I am wondering if anyone that took a truck last year has any advice. I have a ford lightning, and was thinking about using it in the race, but do not know how I would hold up to the competition. (I know that you dont have to have the fastest car to win...but it couldnt hurt) BTW:top speed is 140. RWHP:341, LBS: 451@ 4,5300.

2. What do the winners get, or is there even a prise, other than respect?

3. Did anyone wreck, or crash real bad last year?

4. Is there alot of commerodery within the group or just pure competition?

5. do anyone that has participated before get their own sponsors, or just use the AKA sponsors?

1. You will be fine with the Lightning. A f-150 with 5" lift got to LA 3rd last year.

As there is a good possibility I will be entering a 2003 Z06 instead of my Saleen S281, I am hoping Vette Eater does not plan on bringing his Lightning. It would be a shame for him to have to change his name after the rally. Hey Honda Eater sounds pretty good.

Dmoney, I was going to make the same statement about him having to change his name, but you beat me to it. Damnit.

I can take any stock or slightly modified vette, but I did notice that some of you out there have some vett's that will walk my ass. I bought the lightning, because I needed somthing to tow my wakeboard boat, and motorcycle. It just so happens to be semi quick. As for the rally...if I do enter I will have alot of mods done, so the hp will be slightly higher...The power #'s are with the truck being bone stock. I will look forward to getting in on some vette eating...well to 80 or so...

Nick...I noticed you have a grand national....I have an 86...It makes my lightning look like its standing still at the tree...if they handled worth a damn it would make for an interesting competator in the rally. But it will hold its own in the 1/4.

yea i have an 86 also im bringing it along. mines handeles pretty well its got the F41 suspension on it the tiers arent great but its fun to slide around
