Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on these? Lexus has some nice ones. I like the HS250h. I think the Ford Reflex looks like a space mobile. Plus the name sucks - makes me think of gag reflex.
If you're going to get one get one that comes with the longest warranty possible.
IMO the only way they make it worth your while is if you A. Keep it long enough that 'better' fuel economy finally out weighs the insanely huge price tag or B. There is some kind of huge tax deduction.
Other then that, replacement batteries on hybrids are insane.
Whenever I see one, I revmatch down a gear or two and shout "I get 13 miles per gallon" as I'm taking off. The more I see, the lower my fuel economy goes :meh:

"Well, that sucks. That's like a $300 windshield."

+1
I love yuppies in their green "friendly" cars. Especially when you consider a diesel H1 does less environmental damage over 100,000 miles when you factor in the environmental production costs of each vehicle. The area where those batteries are made for those shitty Prius' and Insights, yeah, environmental wasteland/disaster zone. Nothing can grow there.
So now you're driving an UGLY car that damages the planet and drives like shit. Goooooodddd jobbbbb. But atleast you saved a couple bucks on gas.

I guess we're not taking you to Berkley California, or san francisco.
Hell just stay away from this coast unless you want your pedal permanently stuck to the floor driving around.

Agreed! And they always drive 5-10 mph under the speed limit!
My Fit averages 33mpg and i paid $15k cash brand new. Much better option than the goofy hybrids.

The strip minining damage caused during the creation and the diposal of the lithium batteries, far outweighs the damage from driving a highly efficient vehicle like a civic.
Wait for true altenate fuel technology.
When it's finally achieved you'll know it because I'll be gone. GM's hybrid/hydrogen research facility is right behind my house. BOOOOOOM. I used to ride bikes and burn tire back there before GM bought the plant.
