The Grand Opening celebration at New Jersey Motorsports Park concludes with the premier road-racing series in the United States, Grand-Am. This year's weekend event at NJMP will host multiple races featuring all classes of the Rolex sponsored series including Daytona Prototype, and GT, as well as the Koni Challenge, and the Moto-ST which is Grand- Am's own Superbike race series. In addition to all this great Grand Am action, race fans will also enjoy the Ford Racing Mustang Challenge, which will feature 25-30 equally prepared FR500S Mustangs, adding a true muscle car element to the weekend! The BFGoodrich/Skip Barber National Presented by Mazda is also on tap, the only open-wheel races on the weekend. This is Skip Barber’s entry level pro series – 30 young, very hungry drivers in identically prepared Skip Barber Formula 2000 race cars. In addition, the Ferrari Challenge will add European flair to the event featuring equally prepared Ferrari F430s competing on Thunderbolt Raceway. With so many diverse racing events, no race fan will want to miss this one- of-a-kind special weekend at New Jersey Motorsports Park!

KONI is proud to present the KONI Challenge VW and AUDI car corral at New Jersey Motorsports Park on August 31st 2008 hosted by Herby’s 53 and Coolwater VW Club. Come see some of the greatest German race cars that the Grand-Am KONI Challenge Race Series has to offer including the APR Motorsport Volkswagen GTI’s.

Tickets are $50.00 per person and you must be in your VW or AUDI to take part. Tickets MUST be purchased prior to the event in order to ensure access to the corral - Tickets will not be sold at the gate. Your paid admission will include: Access to the paddock, parking, a corral pass, 1 parade lap around the track, and your karting license for the F1 kart track if you choose to participate. A raffle for a KONI suspension kit, hot laps (1 lap around the track at speed in the pace car), apparel, pre-race activities, and more will take place throughout the day. The corral will open up at 7:30am with the first 50 cars receiving a free t-shirt.
