This is Lee, the co-driver of the Audi S4 and one of the main characters on the MTV True Life episode with my very good friend, Ed. After reading all the negative and ignorant comments about me and Edward on chat boards like this one, I find it worthwhile to lay down the facts as it is obvious very few people know them.
The responses to the MTV episode deem me as a "pussy" and a rich spoiled kid. On the show, I am to always crying about that "one" ticket, how my parents would sell my car, how depressed I was for the rest of the trip, and how my taste in women is less than stellar. Here are the facts:
-MTV showed me and Ed getting our FIRST ticket. I laughed after that first ticket. I mean, who gets a ticket for 13 over on a Rally?? It is known by all who rallied with us that we actually got 5 that day. MTV forgot to mention that I already acquired 4 tickets previous to the Rally because of my need for speed. Any more and there was a very real possibility that my license would be suspended due to strict driving laws in GA for drivers under the age of 21. How would I drive home from college, take girls out, and basically give up what I love? No one saw these things going through my thought process.
-My 1961 Impala SS (1/461) is my car. I have spent hours upon hours and TONS of money to bring that car back to its current condition. That car is my pride and joy. I was extremely worried that it would be sold. My parents didn't want to sell my car; I knew that. But with the magnitude of the tickets I acquired that day, there was a real possibility that they would be thrown off their insurance policy because of me, my car, and my driving record. One more thing, I don't think any one of you guys pay the insurance of an 18 year old male. Let me tell you, if you are lucky enough to get it, it is very expensive. If the tickets I aquired on the Rally were to be sent back, I was looking at paying $4,500 a year in insurance premiums. That would be liability ONLY. Add collision on a restored '61 Impala and I'm sure you'd be bitching and crying too.
-I did drive again after the tickets. I drove fast, too. MTV did not show me and Ed average over 100 mph for 2.5 hours or go 120 through traffic. They conviently left that off to enhance the drama. It's all about the bottom line, boys. I had an amazing time on the Rally, pre and post tickets. Be smart enough to look deeper into things and not take them for what they are on the surface. That leads me into my next topic...
-Hasn't your mother ever told you to not judge a book by its cover? I did call Kelly and Alicia hot. I stand by my comment. It's very hot that Kelly isn't afraid to be herself. It takes balls to do things nobody else is doing. Alicia a marine biologist who saves crabs for a living. That is extremely sexy. A woman with an intellect is very hot. Oh ya, did you see their car?? I don't know of any girls who could look bad in that car, especially to a non-car enthusiast such as myself.
I hope everyone understands that you saw 15 minutes of my life. You don't know anything about me or my situation. Your ignorance is laughable. My challenge to you is to Rally with us and see if you change your mind. Come see the real AKA Rally, not some watered down MTV version of it. I had a blast and met some incredibly cool people who I still talk to to this day. How can I and Ed forget Dill Pickle??
Lee
Random thoughts:
-I still have my car
-That was a CB antenna on our car, not a GPS one.
-We only got lost once
-We drove fast
-A used S4 is cheap compared to the likes of cars with similiar performance numbers. (M3, Porsche, etc.)
-Ed and Tom, MTV didn't show our Dallas interview. I thought it was the best one.
i was wonderin if you were gonna hop on....... Nicely put dude.. And let me be the first to say to you that is a fucking sweet impala......
and i dont think your a pussy i would be pissed and maybe crying if i had that thrown in front of me too.
I am not sure yet. I think Ed is hoping to Rally on the Gumball this year in Europe. If an opportunity opens up for me there that would be great; if not, no big deal. I think I am going to wait until I am 21 until I rally again in the states. Tickets are still an issue. lol. We'll see. I WILL RALLY AGAIN!
so we got you and kelly and ed and alicia to tell it how it really was....... now where the guys in the show car and that model..... she needs to get on here guys she needs to bitch slap the hell out of the people dissing her for freaking out and crying after the cop thing.
I agree with all the haters of that car. It sucked. We killed it is the Mountains up north. WOW. It sounded like a dying goat. But hey, to each his own. I'm sure they'll be on soon.
the rsx was nicely put 2gether but it mos def sounded messed up thats probably why he was saying hes only trying have a good time. but seeing mr eds s4 has made me considered audi as my next car. cant afford the s4 tho but an a4 with mods will do or.
Try riding in it at incredibly high speeds for a week!!!! That car saved my A** so many times. I am an audi believer. I can't afford an M5 so when I graduate, an Audi is what I'll get. Oh man, it's gonna be a SLEEPER!!! A nice "family-sedan" that will whoop on on just about everybody. I got mods and rims and brakes, and chips and ideas!!! I can't wait!
lol sound mean. i really woundnt want to go over 10K for a s4 so a used audi a4 or bmw e36/e30. i have an 89 vw gti i drive jamaica but im thinkin of sellin it. im like ed a euro car fan.
I got it from FL and it was in less than stellar shape.
Me and my dad did a lot of work and paid for the stuff we couldn't do do to lack of skills or time.
I basically rebuilt the engine (327/300), put all new suspension, 4 wheel disk brakes, lowered it 2 inches in the front/3 in the back, 18 inch American Racing rims, toyo tires, magnaflow exaust, rust proofed the undercarriage.
Inside:All custom stereo including 2 MTX 12's in the back, 1500 watt Sony XPLODE amp, 4 speakers, headunit, Viper alarm, all new interior, remote lock/unlock. Rubuilt the a/c and heater core so it's pretty cool to have cold air and heat in a 40 some year old car.
Still left: Boyd Red paint job, straight pipes out the back, new chrome and emblems.
Maybe a corvette engine to really put it over the top.
Hey Lee!!!
I glad to answered nicely to the idiots. You and Ed are behaving for more maturely than they are.
I just talked to Sonya (model girl). She went to Atlantic City to do a show right after she left our BANGING party in DC on thursday. She hasn't even seen any of this stuff yet. I kinda gave her a watered down version. She'll be on later I think.

hey if i was to go we all visit the naples florida police department where my uncle works just for fun and talk with the cops ...... ok that was a bad idea i'm so sorry lol
i dont mean to sound like a idiot or anything but sonyas last name is what Cruz?
Lee, I completely understand your point of view about tickets and the 04 rally... I'm 21 and happened to accrue 6 tickets in the last year. I lost my job selling cars because of it in June when I had 3 suspensions and six warrants out for my arrest because I didn't show to court because I was worried about the fines. Long story short, I started working again on saturday after a few months off, lawyer bills, and a bunch of court appearances. Pretty expensive lesson, I'd say.
BTW, nice ownage on the many retards that have been trolling the site since everybody got infamous because of MTV's documentary. The douche bags that showed up after that are pretty much all banned, and that's definetely a good thing. I dig that Imp you got too, real clean. It's got that "just right" look.
See you in june.
Chris
