Default FS: 1978 Mini Cooper VTEC

I am selling my project car so I can move on and hopefully get a house. I have been working on this since Sept 2007. I bought a clean rolling shell from Arizona that was rust free. Which is super rare for a 78 Cooper! In the mean time, I have compleatly undercoated the under side, repainted it, inside/out. I fitted a Minitec MTB2 front subframe kit and installed a JDM B18C GSR engine and trans with a LSD. The front end now has a double wishbone with all pillowball joints. The rear subframe has all been gone through and installed all new polly bushings. All the plumbing and wiring has been replaced.

I have not spared any expense with this car. I have receipts for over $23k in parts, and that does not include buying the shell, and the labor. It has a clear and proper MN title. I had no problem with getting it registered and insured.

Asking price $27,000

1978 Austin Mini Cooper (the real deal)

B18C GSR engine and LSD trans
p28 chipped ECU
Driveshaft shop 400hp driveshafts
13row Oil cooler
Skunk2 intake manifold
4-2-1 stainless header to a 2.5" 304 stainless exhaust
Vibrant 200 cell Cat converter and Vibrant muffler
ACT street light flywheel
ACT Street full face clutch
Willwood pedal box for the clutch and brake
8.5" AP front 4 piston brakes
Superfin rear Aluminum brake drums
Starmag 13x7 wheels with Pirelli tires

Race technology Dash 2 digital dash
Alpine radio with infinity speakers
New front seats, carpet, headliner, door panels
The whole interior has been covered with a sounding material
and a whole lot more that I am forgetting

Right now the car is 99% complete, and I will be getting it all wraped up in the next few weeks.

Yea, you could say that This thing will do 0-60 in 5 seconds and still get 35-40 mpg on the freeway. Get your self to MN and I will give you a ride.

That is awesome!

Much respect and props to that kind of car.

They should've used 3 of thoes in the first Fast n' Furious movie!
