Well, If anyone cares, the Jacakss FU in the Ass maine Ticket situation is over. Got three tickets 1. Imprudent Speed 2. Following too closely, 3. Improper Lane Change.
$500 later, my attorney had all three dismissed. Apparently the judge did not believe the witness.
Apparently that night, there were 5 State Troopers actively looking for a Black BMW, and a White Sports car. Apparently when I was spotted, the witnees "testified" that I was in fact the car, but yet could not identify the type of car, other than a low slung white sports car. (Gee what other white sports cars were there out there tha evening.)
Bottom line, case thrown out due to proponderance of the evidence.

and just to clear it up we did not leave first becuase we had to catch Dale and a couple of others. We also made a passenger change and unfortunatly Dale got pulled over not becuase of us becuase I was behind him at the toll booth where he got pulled over but becuase he choose not to keep up with us.
But there will another rally this year and we can all have this discussion again at the end with who ever is the lead car then and I even bet we will do it agian the next year and the next and well you get the point.
we're all going to have to have a nice chat about 'dangerous driving' at the start of the rally this year.
Ofcourse we're all about driving fast and having a good time, but we have had 4 rallies so far and no real accidents (besides idiot rear ending me).
Anyway, we would like to keep it that way. I saw some driving on the Fall rally that made me nervous about safety.
Driving 'agressively well', and driving like an idiot are two very different things.
+1 --- AMEN to that sister
I don't mind going fast, but I really think some people need to understand that their actions can kill other people, & slow down where appropriate. --B
our average speed was ~123 mph, that includes the 150+ runs and the toll booth stop
even still, whens the last time you drove an hour and 15 minutes at 120 mph?
and lady taking out the mustang on the way into indianapolis speedway...
but yes, I agree completely
Wowe, defensive are we.
Actually, the most prolonged speeding I've done was back in 1997. Drove for about 50-55 minutes straight at 135mph on the way to Vegas from L.A.
But the beauty of that drive was it was 2am with no cars on the road. Got to Vegas in under 3 hours.

Yeah, I think a lot of us on the Fall Rally at least the day I was there had some built up frustration since there was a lot of traffic at some points.
But I think a midwest run is a totally different ball game since it's so wide open.
A meeting to address this of course would be a great idea the night before we start.
