was wondering why the rally cost so much? what hotels do you stay in? why events/parties do you go to? $4,000 sounds like alot of money. I know its only $2,500 now from georgia to miami right? that still sounds high, maybe im wrong. someone want to fill me in on this. thanks

Once you experience your first rally, you will see that the price paid is well worth the trip
Plus with the entry, it includes your dinners, hotel, activity's, and a whole lot more. Then split that between two people, and its a pretty good deal.

I've never been on one. But if you watch all the AKA vidoes and trailers over and over again. The 4k will seem like nothing. In my mind its already worth it, regardless of the EXTRA expenses that the 4k dosen't cover.
Sit down and add up the cost of a hotel every night, dinner at a different restuarant each night, throw in a couple club covers, add a track day rental, and 2 or 3 additional miscellaneous events (for example we have gone dune buggy racing, done the Bonneville salt flats with rented EMS and insurance, gone to the F1 races with paddock access, did Mid-Ohio Le mans, gone white water rafting), buy a full car vinyl package with a two-colour scheme, throw in extra random shit (participants in the past have recieved t-shirts, detailing product, broadband cards for example), buy extra insurance to cover the trip, add it all up for 2 people, and tell me how far off that figure you think it is?
I didn't include the cost of hanging out with a bunch of AMAZING people and making lifetime friends - that is priceless
Not to mention, how difficult it is for the organizers to figure out events, planning etc....
If you were to do it on your own, planning, organizing, and getting sponsors would be valued at hundreds of dollars, let alone planning for a mass amount of vehicles. IMO, with the quality of the previous events, its well worth it.
I won't say much else, before they raise the price =P.
^^ Hahaha, I thought we bring air mattresses, and sleep in the car?
Wait we're not?
Everything is nice man. This years event is $2500 that is for a team of two. I'll do the math, 1250 each. At four days that is $312.50 per day. This includes dinner and drinks (~$100?) plus a room (~$150?) plus fun events and stickers and shirts! Dang@@#$#$@%#$@
If you think that is over priced good luck even going on vacation anywhere.

Please don't get us wrong. No one's trying to be a dick here... I think. Just making a little fun.
There are a total of 4 nights on this event. The rest has already been covered here.

As said before, experience your first rally, and then you will understand. This isn't just about driving from point "A" to "B". There is no way to put in words the things you experience. I would be here all night.
I live in a world of opportunities. I sleep in NJ though.

No, you're not being a dick, you just probably can't afford it right now. When you have the money, give it a try, you might understand
I know I have never been on the AKA or any rally for that matter but when you look at the entry fee to other rally's which you do the same thing as would be done on the AKA you would pay 5times that cost. The AKA is great deal from what I have seen but I can't afford it myself so i don't complain about it
Bullrun is like $20k. And following what they did this year it seems no different than what the AKA has done in the past. In fact I am willing to say the AKA has exceeded some of these other higher priced rallies

We have done some pretty insane events for the price. Top speed runs at the Bonneville Salt Flats being the highlight, but we've also done a full track day, F1 Race, ALMS race with infield parking, and lots more.
