We are back with some big announcements from the AKA Rally.

The Pre-Party will be held at the China Club, right around the block from the Doubletree Guest Suites where a lot of you are staying on Friday night. AKA Rally Participants will receive free admission until 10:45pm! If there is no way for you to make it to the China Club, located at 268 West 47th Street between 8th Avenue & Broadway, before 10:45pm, please send us an email. We will do everything possible to accommodate you. This pre-party is 21 and up. However, all hope is not lost for you under-21Õers. An infamous, unnamed rally participant has reserved the presidential suite at the Doubletree for the night of the pre-party. He has graciously invited us into his room for an after party. Please call the Doubletree Guest Suites at 212.719.1600 and ask for the AKA Rally Group Rate, for June 11th if you need accommodations. We have negotiated a discounted rate for suites of $199/night. This hotel is located at 1568 Broadway, right in Times Square

We will be caravanning from the Doubletree in Times Square to the official start-point of the rally at around 7:30am. Everyone staying at the hotel, or located in Manhattan is encouraged to join us. The rest of you should meet us directly at the starting line, so as to avoid a useless trip in and out of Manhattan.

It is accessible both north and southbound on the Turnpike. We are aiming to leave by 9am, and we should be there by 8am. There is food, coffee and gas available at this service area. Registration will occur at this location, so you must be there by 9am in order to receive your ID badges, goodie bag, and destination information! Please make sure each driver has photo identification (a license!)

If anyone would like to stay an additional night or two in California (after the night of the 17th), we are able to extend a discounted rate of $145/night (normally 169+tax) to you. Email info@akarally.com if youÕd like to reserve additional nights.

hmm...that's wierd. Dustin is the one who told us about the akarally. Maybe they went with those thiefing Player's run people instead.

they are goin on the players run, reason why i dunno ??? also it went from 300 cars to 50 ? thats a big drop if u ask me also will the celebrities that are attending will they be drivin on the event with us ? and last but not least i have yet to recieve any emails from the organizers i have emailed them but no response yet if anyone has the emails that have been sent out may i please get a copy or email them to me ptsbx1@hotmail.com thanks

Too bad, the players run was last years event. Anyhow, If I found out about the rally sooner than 2 months ago, I could probably have swung it. Will definately make next years. Will have some more fun stuff on the Saab by then too.

From what I am hearing, the Gumball will be here next year also. But I could never afford that.

the players run is going again this year. They are leaving on the 5th.

Trust me, I know what I'm talking about because we've been trying to get our deposit back from Markus for weeks now. We decided to do the akarally instead.

I think they were anticipating more people. We were signed up to go originally but changed our minds. They extended the registration date by weeks and they were slow on getting their **** together e.g. their website.
I think they must be hard pressed for money and participants too cause like I said before....THEY WON"T RETURN OUR MONEY even though we're not taking part anymore.
And yes...they suck at returning emails/phone calls. I got markus's number if you want though.
