The town car I tried doin a burnout in Hawaii with wouldn't let me do one for more than 2 or 3 seconds before stopping wheel spin. Here is my rental doin a burnout. :)

Suit yourself. I am greatly amused that it's a fucking lincoln doing a burnout. It was also fun cruising at the speed limiter (108) and having cars move out of the way.

they probably thought you were a cop creeping up on them. I do the same thing, then I get irrate once the car passes and I realize it's a little old lady with a blue fro.

I've never sees any bluehairs passing me, ever! Of course they thought i was a cop ;) It was funny to run up on cars driving quickly, and watch them discretely slow down.
There is a place near me that sells old cop cars, refurbished. Would be fun to pick one up cheap.

Reason #242 why it's not a good idea to buy a 'well maintained' ex-rental car.
Personally I have beaten the shit out of each and every one of my rentals.

At no point was it ever a good idea to buy an ex-rental car. Why do you think that shows up in a carfax? :) I'd buy the lincoln for under ~$3k, though. If I could remove teh speed governor. I'd also run some ridiculous exhaust.

I feel bad for whomever buys a vehicle that I have previously rented.

yeah magnesium rim + high rpm + concrete = fireworks
Chris
02-14-2005, 04:35 AM
That would be an expensive fireworks show. The sparks in this case are from a nail ;)

I wonder how he drove it home, after he picked up that nail, even if it didn't go flat the sparks whould be a cop magnent
Chris
02-14-2005, 04:39 AM
The nail isn't going to spark unless the wheel is spinning....
pandaspeed
02-14-2005, 04:42 AM
yes spinning as in when the bike is in motion as in the trip back from alicias house to his.
Chris
02-14-2005, 04:47 AM
No, spinning as it the wheel is spinning, yet the bike is stationary. A nail in a tire does not spark while rotating normally. I think he was already home.

can those things burn out on the street?
BarretM3

It will, but you have to get it started on something slick or you'll never get them to start spinning. Once hey are going though, you can keep 'em spinning pretty easily.
