If you have the room in your ride would you have big speakers or not?

pandaspeed
01-16-2005, 04:52 PM
systems add mad weight so you have to decide what is more important to you agility, or bumping through the hood

poorboy

all show and no go...

pandaspeed
01-16-2005, 05:19 PM
like the rsx from last year

poorboy
01-16-2005, 05:24 PM
The rsx was a show car, they are good people its not like they were trying to say it was fast or anything.

pandaspeed
01-16-2005, 05:26 PM
wasn't bashing them at all just making a comparison

poorboy
01-16-2005, 05:27 PM
oh yeah i know, i was just giving my opinion.

Evil Inside

My car came with a JBL system, and when I got the car, I took out the subwoofer and the speakers. With my blower going and the exhaust work, the car makes enough noise without any music.

wear ear plugs

Why? The sound is orgasmic.

poorboy
01-16-2005, 06:38 PM
Yes it is but after awhile your still going to want to hear that when your older. No shame in wearing ear plugs for long drives, esp on this rally it takes a toll on your ears if you got the music blaring and your car is loud already.

Umm, dude, I've been to an AC/DC concert and I'm going to see Motley Crue in a month. My hearing is doomed anyway.

you deserve it for listining to Motley crue DUDE.

poorboy

fast cars yes, motley crue and the word metal-no. Motley crue is not metal.

pandaspeed

their glam rock not metal

Evil Inside
01-16-2005, 07:07 PM
Are you joking? Tommy Lee is one of the best Rock Drummers of all time. Nikki Sixx is lord of the Thunderbird Bass. Maybe Hard Rock is the correct term. Vince I can do without, but the rest of the band kicks some major ass.

and AC/DC is the greatest rock band of all time, hands down.

poorboy
01-16-2005, 07:08 PM

or cock rock.

this could be argued to no end on who is the best rock band ever, so i'll put my 2 cents in and say the who is the best rock band ever. But as far as the crue, the only reason they are famous is not because of their songs (they only had what 2 hit songs maybe if that) they fucked famous people.

ac/dc is a good band but sorry not the greatest of all time.

pandaspeed
01-16-2005, 07:12 PM
ac/dc not bad but its got to come down to the who or the dead for the greatest band ever

poorboy
01-16-2005, 07:20 PM
I dont think many people would say the dead, beatles, who, stones, etc would though. The dead just had a huge cult following, kinda like Phish do now but they would never get the title of best band.

pandaspeed
01-16-2005, 07:22 PM
dude any band that has that kind of following, i mean come on people followed the dead around for years at a time

poorboy
01-16-2005, 07:28 PM
yeah i know but the general public would never put that type of label on the band as the greatest of all time.. maybe one of the greatest.

Upgrade the stock headunit and speakers. It makes a world of difference and dosn't weigh more. I added an amp for my 6x9's (it has 6 speakers from factory, too much for h/u) in the GN. But it is right over the rear axle where I need weight.

Nick

pandaspeed
01-17-2005, 02:32 PM
I have stock speakers in the accord and with a good head unit and accord i can out bump the gangstas

01-17-2005, 02:53 PM
my lumina has 4 speakers and i turn the bass all the way up and it rocks!!!

pandaspeed
01-17-2005, 02:55 PM

poorboy
01-17-2005, 02:56 PM

pandaspeed
01-17-2005, 02:58 PM
haha mine isn't quite that good but she gets the job done, drowns out the sound of the turbo, so im happy.

poorboy
01-17-2005, 02:59 PM
yeah i dont got a turbo, but i have euro windsheild wipers!!!

pandaspeed
01-17-2005, 03:00 PM

poorboy
01-17-2005, 03:01 PM
I dont even know why makes my car a euro editon anyway. 94 chevy lumina euro.. any ideas?

pandaspeed
01-17-2005, 03:03 PM

poorboy
01-17-2005, 03:16 PM
im pretty sure its just like the body style or maybe because it came with a spolier

pandaspeed
01-17-2005, 03:21 PM
hmm intresting, i'll have to look in to this.

poorboy
01-17-2005, 03:22 PM

poorboy
01-17-2005, 03:38 PM
I'm sticking with the windsheil wipers and the spoiler as the reason for the euro.

pandaspeed
01-17-2005, 03:39 PM

LordComp
01-17-2005, 07:27 PM
OK so with the 12" speakers and the class D 1800watt amp and the bypass battery and the box in the trunk it might add up to like 120lbs. thats too much weight? My girl friend doesn't weigh that much and I tote her ass around.

pandaspeed
01-17-2005, 07:29 PM
that shouldn't be to bad

LordComp
01-17-2005, 07:34 PM

It's fun to drive down a street and oppen every single gargage door. But seriously it's a good radio and i have been useing it for years.

exactly i put a dual sub box right in that high spot over the rear axle and under the 6x9, 2 infinity kappa perfects, they weight a ton, but in a car that already is almost 2 tons whats another 200 lbs, just up the boost 2 more pounds

Nope, the chevette was like a rwd caviler (70's-80's). You are thinking about the Corvair (50'-60'). That was RR and dubed "unsafe at any speed". It was America's porsche.
