This looks like a nice community, just wanted to say hi - been popping in and out of the forum for a couple of years and finally registered today. I have a '73 DeTomaso Pantera, and with any luck I'll be joining ya'll on the next rally - having some fueling and electrical issues at the moment, but whatcha gonna do.

Thanks alot - it's a 351 Cleveland. Not quite stock, but nothing too ridiculous.

Thanks a bunch guys. This will be the first x-country trip for this car, so it should be a neat experience if we make it to the rally.

Its crossed my mind, believe me. A traditional roots style blower won't fit because of the way the motor is mounted (though I've heard stories of one model from the 80's that worked), but something centrifugal would not be a bad idea - something to look into. Great, I haven't even signed up yet and you guys are already costing me money!
EDIT: Note to self...find some sponsors...

Durka just wants to be prepared for another one of many motors he may be working on. LOL
Welcome. Nice ride too.

F.I. is not the answer to everything...
you can't use psi to make up for cid or can you...

It moves enough for my taste - on a 2700lb car with 351 inches there's not much to make up for, lol. Just my opinion, of course.

I'm not telling him to swap in a boosted 1.8L, simply to make the most out of the 351 ci's he has.
plus everything is a little better with some boost ;)
