View Full Version : So I wasn't really happy in the 7...
So I got rid of it. Took a bit of a hit. But ended up in this:
12K miles, fully loaded (original sticker was 97K!!!), and yes, this one has three pedals.

Yes, CPO - until June 2014. This was a late 08. And you're right, should have done it right the first time.
Very cool Alan.

I knew you were going to say that. How about matte black HRE P40s?
Thanks for the kind words Dan and Ash.

Yes.
Japanese exhaust: OneandOnly. The featured car has Neez wheels too! http://www.youtube.com/watch#!v=W3X0WYvAzys&feature=related
The Meisterschaft sounds incredible but I don't think I could live with it on a daily basis.
Will tint windows. Prob no tinted tails, just never really liked them.

Alan, that does sound way better than the tubi one very street smooth but still has the F1 resonance. I still prefer the raw nasty awesomeness of Meisterschaft though.

Now i know why you asked about my P40's. Sorry Alan about a month too late. I liquidated everything M5. Enjoy it, it's a beast of a car, i miss mine but on to the next one.

I was gonna suggest that too, but it seems to be impossible to actually buy. A bunch of M3 guys tried a while back IIRC and couldn't get it..

Same here too
This company is extremely difficult to buy this.
Alan, just go to M5board daily in the for sale secition. These cars have become old enough that you can find many decent used parts and exhausts from credible sellers, where you don't have to pay retail on a new one.

Alan, if you want oneandonly let me know. I'll talk to some of my friends overseas, I bet we can get it.
We can overnight parts from Japan?

Those wheels = very dated looking. They are very 1992, not 2007.

Alright I have to know.
How comfortable is a 20 way seat?
Can you compare it to an Asian massage with a happy ending?
NickyBlack
04-27-2010, 10:26 AM
I had those seats in my 7 series, and i think it took like 30 minutes of adjusting to find "just the right" setting.
Here's the big secret that makes the 20 way BMW seats fantastic (I had them in my E38 and briefly owned E65 as well - missed them a ton when I had the 335i).
Adjustable shoulder support!
I tend to sit fairly upright and a little hunched over when I drive ("the active fat man position" as I like to call it as opposed to "the lazy fatman position" where you recline so far back in the seat you can rest a beer can on your gut). Thus in a conventional seat I'm supporting my whole upper body - as the seat back, slightly angled, loses contact with my back around nipple level. With the adjustable shoulder support, I can tilt that top part of the seatback forward and support my shoulders and thus take all the weight off my back. Very, very comfortable.
The other 18 ways include the lumbar support (six ways), the thigh support (two ways), width adjustment (two ways), height (two ways), tilt (two ways), seat angle (two ways) and headrest (two ways). These are all nice, but its the adjustable shoulder support that gets me all excited when I think about my BMW's seats.
Did you have active seats in yours NB? Pretty cool feature.
NickyBlack

Alan I didn't have them in my 2006 M5 but I have them in my current one..LoL
As for the seats to better describe the uppper shoulder support...It's like a big hand cradling you all the way up your back...pretty comfortable
