First car was a Grand Am GT which blew up and after that was the stealth (in pieces), after that was my Peugeot 505 Turbo which I sold mid project, hence the user name.

As of now I drive both a 93 Dodge Stealth ES and a 92 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4. I'm obsessed as hell with these cars, had the stealth for two years this may, vr4 I bought this passed november.

The stealth started pretty much as a frame, came with a blown motor (for arguments sake, is died in my driveway 2 days after just getting it to start for the first time), a dash, steering wheel, carpet, seats, trans and parts that make it roll, thats it. The body was garbage, dented and destroyed, half the interior missing, blown suspension, dry rotted tires, ugly wheels etc. a year and a half of work and she's sexy as hell. Way to much time and way to much money. about $12,000 total so far, tons of mods

The VR4 I got for $5500 in november, which was a steal, runs perfectly. She's got an AEM truboost set at around 13lbs of boost right now, should run high 13's in the quarter (we'll find out friday) and some other bolt on goodies. AWD is friggen amazing.


I could sit here for hours talking about them but we'll keep it short lol.

I too really like those cars... Mitsubishi built them as a tour de force to show off all their new technologies... Twin turbos, all wheel drive, all wheel steering, active aerodynamics... Weren't they the fastest cars in Japan when they came out?
I'd love to drive one some day. I almost bought one, but rumors of high maintenance and expensive repairs kept me away :( I heard those transmissions are a nightmare to fix... Any experience there?

Can you confirm/deny a rumor for me. Though 3000GTs are sweet looking, all I hear from other car boards is they are plagued with problems. Any truth to that?

and no they are not plagued with problems contrary to popular belief, if you keep up on maintence as with any car they'll last. since the stealth was 100% assembled I've had 0 issues and the VR4 has no major issues either. My transfer case is leaking a bit which is getting taken care of friday, minus that its pefect

I remember there was this chick in Annapolis who rocked a white 3000. It was pretty clean except she had those hideous teddy bear rims on it.

Awesome! That's just some stereotype I've always seen thrown around but I don't know if I ever seen anyone who owns one actually confirm or deny it.

Like I said, 3000GTs are the hotness. It was one of the first cars I bought on Gran Turismo.
