it did that for two months, it litteraly ate itself, the dvd quit, the LCD died, and the motherboard cooked itself. Damn dell

well yeah, but the big thing was my dad bought it refurbished 3000 dollars laptop for 1000 bucks, so im not suprised she fried, so they dumped my hard drive on a new laptop, and sent me a brand new computer with the same specs :)

my dell won't detect either cd rom drive and it's just over a year old. I'm about to deliver a swift kick to it.

Dell is only good for making cheap computers, and when you get something cheap, the reliability goes down the toilet.

atleast I've gotten pretty good customer service up until now. I can't complain too much.

just don't buy a laptop through them, to get anything serviced you have to send them your machine, and they don't even fix it themselves, they contract it out to another company, thats why it took them 2 months to get mine back to me.

ouch. We haven't had any trouble with the laptop yet. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

what got really annoying was that at first it just ate through power chargers i went though 4 before dell whould accept the fact that the computer was killing them.

I keep killing mother boards and memory sticks in the desktop.

thats got to be a power supply issue, just go spend 40 bucks and buy a 350 watt power supply, it should solve most of your problems

just tell them your computer whouldn't boot up, and just bs your way through the rest of it.
