Benzes are so hot now. They definitely went through an ugly stage in the 90s.
How do you like driving it?

I love the new benz and the older ones... I do not like the circle headlight ones!

Not that there's any need to, but do you plan on doing anything fun to it?

Well I might be going on the Players Run in September so it wouldnt make sense for me at this time to do anything cosmetic with it. But i did want to get the Lorinser Body Kit eventually. And i'll probably hold off on the Renntech probably for about another 10k miles.

You should hold off on the players run and hit AKA Rally instead :)

lol.
I almost did the Players Run with another girl in a S500 back in 2004. We even had our deposit in.
We eventually backed out and did the AKA Rally instead.

I can't even remember the route that year. That was so long ago.
What's the AKA Rally? oh my.... where to begin? I thought that was how you found this forum. How did you find us?
The AKA Rally, is kinda like the Player's Run. It's cheaper though. Last year's entry free was $3250. This year's entry fee is around $4K
Same thing, we go from coast to caost over the course of about 7 days. We stop in a different place every night to party or to do something fun.
For example, one year we hit the Bonneville salt falts (one of my favourite stops ever).
We also hit up the F1 races at Indiana and the Le mans at Mid-Ohio. We have done closed road tracks, drag strips, auto cross and carting. Last year we even went white water rafting. We do about 3-4 of those stops on each trip.
We average about 25-30 cars, do it's smaller than the Gumball and it's always continental USA. They crowd that comes in oustanding. Right now, there are two guys I met on the AKA Rally in my house. I have made life long friends cause of the rally. the sort of commradrie you build from travelling cross country with these guys is unbelieveable.
There are a bunch of video clips of the rally from all over the place. I'll dig some up. And I'm sure other will chime in. The 2004 rally was also covered on MTV's True Life.
There's a vid clip from last years' event here http://akarally.com/aka2009.html
There are only a couple BMWs and Vettes in this clip. There's more vehicle diversity that this clip suggests.

Welcome! How did you find us? We've been driving through Chalfont constantly over the past week. Traffic has been killing us!
Ditto on doing AKA - you'll have an awesome time!
Come check out our Thursday Applebees meets in Newtown. They are not far from you.

this year is from Savannah to Monterey. It will be around 3000 miles assuming you ship your car back like the rest of us. Some people drive both ways.

Welcome, Beautiful S600
This site needs more MB's
I was thinking about it today and I think benz is the only car more expensive to mod then a Porsche.

Very nice car! My dad has had nothing but mercs for the past 10 years or so... I think he's got an E class right now; he loves those cars and I can see why...

Haha, that sounds like my pops. He's been driving nothing but Mercedes for the longest time i can remember. He was the one who got me into Mercedes. Not alot of people my age like the S-class, but the first time I rode in his S-class, fell in love with it right away.
