View Full Version : How Many Tickets?

This may have been done before, but...

1. How many tickets have you gotten overall? (Two categories: speeding and non)

2. How many have you gotten at one time?

3. Most expensive one?

No speeding tickets for me! Two for expired registration, though.

Probably around 50 total tickets.

Most tickets at a time... probably 2 or 3 at most.

Most expensive cost about $1200 to get out of. 93 in a 55 quite a few years ago in NJ.

Damn.

I've probably had about 20-30

I got slammed one time pretty hard in the Nissan and had like 5-6 tickets for all kinds of shit. Got them all dropped thanks to my Uncle being a lawyer.

Most expensive was like $440 for speeing like 68 in a 35 or something.

I've gotten speeding tickets in:

New Hampshire (1)
Canada (1)
California (1)
Vermont (3)
Wisconsin (4-5?)
NJ (3)
Illinois (1)
Michigan (Somewhere over 20)

I've gotten 2 the same day each one over 300 bucks, I had a 400something dollar one, I've gotten 3 the same stop, etc etc... I fight a lot of them, but I've also lost my license 3 times :roflpicard:

4 tickets total
3 speeding
1 running a stop light

Haven't received more then one ticket at a time

$140 for a 75 in a 55 in Missouri

I think I have gotten lucky for the last 9 years, I just hope the luck will continue through out the rally

:picard: Hahah

Hmm..

about 8 speeding tickets over the past 9 years. It seems like one falls off, and another one gets piled on. However, I've fought and beat my last 3 tickets so I should be good for the rally. I've gotten numerous fix it tickets.

Worst ticket 95 in a 65, got license restricted, and then suspended.

Then suspended a few years ago to an accidental Failure to appear for a registration ticket. I thought it was a fix it and waited for the notice in the mail. Big mistake.

But yeah. whee!

My driving abstract is 3 or 4 pages long. IIRC it's around 7 tickets per page if they are purely moving violations, the non moving ones are just notations. So figure somewhere between 21 and 35 in NY state, the ones from out of state don't hit. Figure 50-60 total.

5 in one stop one time.

Most expensive was $580 speeding ticket in a town near my house, which I still maintain was total bull shit.

Since i started driving i must say i've been pulled over at least 200++ times. Got many many tickets over the years that i can't remember them all mostly all over the USA, Canada and many even in Europe. Got away with about 97% of them. I get pulled over at least 1-2x a month.

My mosts expensive had to be $800 for speeding in Cali going to Vegas for the 06 rally in pauls sti.

Most at one shot 2 tickets which was actually last month when i got pulled while racing a maserati granturismo on the NJTP. He wanted to issue me 5 tickets so that was my "break" and a free lecture of how i endangered the officer's life of having him trying to catch me which was classic.

How the hell do you guys still have your licenses....your insurance must be through the roof.

I got pulled over 3 times last weekend within 48 hours...my favorite was getting pulled over in Ian's M3 (racing a fucking altima no less...waste of gas) and having the officer come up and yell at the three of us going "WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU DOING BACK THERE, THERE WERE SPARKS COMING OUT OF YOUR WHEELS!!" We all looked at each other and were like...what?....oh, the race pads....awesome!

Early last fall I had one 45 in a 35, one 77 in a 55 and "an exhaust modification" ticket.

Cop didn't show up in the 45, prepared a hell of a case on the "exhaust modification" ticket to only have the cop not show up, and got nailed on the 77. They bumped it down to 75, got four points and paid like $190.

i have 11 points on my liecence... how do you afford to drive? its 380$ for coverage on the porsche. throw in the audi and the truck and im paying over 1k a month just on insurance.

You need to be smarter about it... Right before I lost my license for the 3rd time I was at $2100 for every 6 months on my 2005 Subaru STI. I changed my address with the bank so my statements would go to a friend's house in NC and got a license there. Then I called up a few insurance companies and got car insurance in that state... Now I pay under $1200 a year on a 2006 Corvette with full coverage, $250 deductible and over half a million dollars coverage on medical and collision.

Right before I lost my license for the 3rd time I was at $2100 for every 6 months on my 2005 Subaru STI.

That's why I am loving my semi clean record with my 335xi, $100 per month! If it ever got that high, I would have to park my car and ride my bike!

Exactly! Even though I have a TX driver license my cars have insurance coming out of my parents house. I pay about $1300 per year! for full coverage on my corvette and my M3 with $500 deductibles.

My driving abstract is 3 or 4 pages long. IIRC it's around 7 tickets per page if they are purely moving violations, the non moving ones are just notations. So figure somewhere between 21 and 35 in NY state, the ones from out of state don't hit. Figure 50-60 total.

I want to hear the story!!

I have probably about 15-20 moving violations in NY mostly due to the stupid town cops in Hamburg where I used to live. All of the tickets were for speeding in the range of 8-15 over.

Most expensive ticket was a 80 or 85 in a 55 in the city. The ticket was around $200 bucks plus that stupid NYS $100 fee for 3 years bullshit. So yah that was like a $500 ticket.

Most tickets I ever got at once was when I pulled a smoky U-Turn in Amherst leaving UB one day.

1) Crossing double yellow line
2) reckless driving
3) unsafe start (even though I was doing 20mph lol)
4) no front plate
5) illegal window tint
6) 40 in a 35
7) obstruction of view (parking pass hanging off mirror)

Went in and talked to the judge and ended up paying a $75 fine lol. Cop was a fagger. Plus it started raining so I asked him if he could hurry up and write the ticket because my car doesn't like to be rained on. I don't think he found it as funny as I did as he was standing in the downpour. LOL

hahaha

I have a similar story.
A cop tried to hit me with:

1. unsafe lane change
2. reckless driving
3. negligent driving
4. speed unessecary
5. no seat belt!
All in one stop

It amounted to $1000 in fines and 6 points

It was bullshit since I NEVER EVER drive without a seatbelt. Chris laughs at me cause I'll put on my seatbelt even if I'm just sitting in a parking lot. Feels odd otherwise. Anyway, the cop was definitely fucking with me.

I went to court and told the judge that the cop was obviously in a bad mood and that I would plead guilty to speed unessecary - I admited I was probably going 3 miles ove rthe posted limit - but the other charges were bullshit.

The judge had me pay $75 for the one ticket, dropped all the points, and told the cop that he was probably having a bad day and to drop it.

Jeff and I took the back roads from the shore towards Trenton, NJ. On Rt 206 which is a 2 lane road with passing lines, I obviously passed a car which was going slower in front of me.

Well I guess the person I passed doesn't like...
A) Red cars
B) Ferraris
C) Me
D) All of the above

So they called the state police and one was waiting up the road. The cop pulls out right behind and pulls me over. Come up and told me that he got a call that we were going fast and passing cars... which is somewhat true. I did go quicker to pass the car that was in front of me. Another car pulls up and he was just there incase I went crazy and did some sick burnouts on the horrible New Jersey paved roads that feel like you are on an old wooden roller coaster minus the loops. He let me off with a warning since there really isn't anything else to do. Then we went to sonic and I had a turtle head. End.

1 for "making a right on red without stopping" - $56

stupid part is that making the right on red I was in a caravan and I had no idea where I was going....ended up getting lost after the cop let me go anyway. assholes....
