Underneath the SC is the same as a Supra. Alot of guys take the n/a 2jz out and replace with a lower compression 2jz and a snail sittin next to it. If your lucky you can find one that is a manual.

I've been searching for a nice SC300 for a good year now. That car is next on my list of projects.

No, I'm not selling my Z for one.

I just got a 5 speed sc300 about 6 months ago and I dig but theres not alot of head room and everything that I've replaced was expensive.
All the performance parts are rare and expensive but it's something different and it does drift if you know how.
I'd say go for it if your patient.

it is a manuel 300 with 68k on it .... so its worth $9,000?

Performance parts are rare, and expensive? It's got the 2jz-ge engine. Mike and I discussed this a while back... but I forget our concensus. I think internally the 2jz-gte and the 2jz-ge motor are the same. This means any supra parts will fit.

we were talking about the IS before, which I think has different cams and a few other things.

If the SC is in good condition, I'd pay 9k for it.

their is a drifter that drives the sc300 and at one time he had the 3jz in it I am pretty sure. If you could fit the twin turbo that car would be ready to go. But isn't the sc300 a hefty car. The driver of the drift sc300 use carbon fiber for everything to lower the weight. From the hood to the doors ( is the first to use all carbon fiber doors that have power windows.)

Probably teh first because that's retarded. Why go to the trouble of doing CF doors when you're going to retain teh heavy power windows. Then again, why go with the heavy sc300 chassis when you're looking for something that is light weight. Owner sounds like a stickler for pain. I'd hate to meet his wifey.

The SC he is talking about is the red one with the red carbon doors. It is a D1 car.
