Pretty sure that's a mid late 40's Ford, judging by the grille ;)

yeaaaah...
I'm not an expert on these things. All I know is that they didn't include plastic in their exterior. :hang:

ouchie...that really sucks. At least he didn't run on you.
I know the insurance on classic cars can be funky. I hope everything works out.

Doesn't look that horrible, do you know the owner?
If you know him I bet a bumper paint job and new lower valence would make the car look fine again.

um...I think there is more damage than that. Look at the gap at the bumper/trunk seam.
I'm guessing there's some bent metal behind there.

Without seeing the car in personnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
Here is what I would write (all items check means I can't see damage on them from the photos)
replace rear bumper cover
replace rear lower valance
check exhaust
align deck lid
check tail lamps
check rear sill
check rear bumper reinforcement
check trunk floor
replace rear bumper mouldings
replace rear bumper absorber

Thats pretty much all that will need replacemennt. Trunk floor is okay. Exhaust is "bent"
Taillamps are slightly cracked where it meets the bumper.
etc etc etc..
Its okay tho. I've had the body kit in the shop for the past 3 months being too lazy to get it going and painted.
What a perfect opportunity.

Quick question for you.
My 2004 Volvo R....
The rear lower lip/valence only comes as a part of the whole "sport kit".
How do you think Allstate/insurance company will handle that?
As well as the Tinted taillights, along with the painted/glued on Silver taillight covers...
I'm gonna try and maximize the pay out since most of it will need to be re-done.

You going through your insurance or the other guys insurance?
If it's your insurance co they may so "F YOU" for any part that is not OEM. If you're going through the at fault parties carrier they need to pay for what was damaged. If the rear lip is only sold as part of an entire package a used lip or aftermarket replacement may be used, otherwise they'll be buying an entire kit, though I believe they can get the part individually.
The carrier should probably offer you a "appearance allowance" for the taillights where they basically offer you some cash instead of re tinting the lights for you.

Just haggle with the insurance company. If you politely bug them enough they will give you what you want.

Its thier cheap ass All State insurance. Fortunately it is an OEM only part, as there is no aftermarket part for our OEM Volvo bumper.
Appearance Allowance, thank you for the terminology, hopefully it'll help. :D

Notice the red streak at the bottom of the lens.
Either you missed a strip of tint on the bottom, or the coating of tint is less at the bottom of the lens, or it's just the camera angle/flash.

Ah, since the bottom turn signal and reverse light is clear, the light creeps up from behind.
Its pretty damn even all the way around, just the bottom light reflection/creep makes it look lighter.

got it.
I like the painted top of the tails. Looks much more clean.
Good luck with the bumper repairs.
