thats a fast boy, but you can only use the power on a straight line... but 90% of the bikes out with boost are 1/4 mile bikes

to be that big, it handles pretty good. Little to heavy for me but thats going to be my next bike. Like you said mike it's mostly a straight line bike or a show bike.

The hp/tq is so off it's funny. But I guess you wouldn't want that much tq on a bike anyhoo.

Nick

pandaspeed

tq isn't that big of a concern, how much tq. does it take to move 500 pounds. i think 300 + will get the job done.

i wonder how he got it to read, i mean, I didn't have that much power but @ 289 hp @ 4psi @ wheels, I was only able to get a couple good runs. Tire kept on spinning. I tried 6 psi and , right.. no luck. We even had 3 peolpe sitting on the bike and it was a joke. Then I knew it was to much.. oh forgot to mention torque.. I only had 175. I'm going to try to find my dyno sheet. It's in one of these boxes. I just moved, actually a year ago but haven't unpacked everything

No Mike, your still "Got Boost" ..lol.. I took it off. It was not ridable. I mean, I was doing 6 gear wheelies. It was insane. It was fun but I like taking knee scraping turns. I get a big rush for that and by having that much power, I lost that rush. But I have to admit, I miss having the turbo on it. 2k3 likes going in straight line. Im trying to get him more involve in turns. I still have it though. So you never know. It is so easy working on bikes. Everything is right there. You should try getting a bike.. Busa?...

I would die so fast on a bike. Plus there is no way in hell I could ever handle a busa, I'm tall and lanky (somewhat like chris, but he is the definition of tall and lanky)

It's ok though, I made my car faster than most bikes so its all good.

I know it would be so much easier to work on a bike compared to my car (see pic below of a 300zx engine bay)

Mike, you can handle a busa. It's no big deal,. Just don't full throtle it. It's ment for big & tall riders. I gaurantee that if you ride one, you won't wanna be on anything else but that.... yeah, 4got how bad underneith the hood of the z was. It's been a while since I worked on 1 actually helped out. .... Yeah we also have a couple of turbo busa around us. The fastes one is the owner son of MIR. He has a sick, sick, sick bike. I heard about it but never saw it run. But I wanna say it runs in the 7's. Don't hold me to it though. Old town has the best turn out for sport bikes. Track is so smooth and pleanty of room to stop.

lol i can handle a busa?! dude I've never even been on a dirt bike! lol

I may be tall, but I'm definitely not big.

a 7 sec 1/4 is rediculously fast, thats gotta be at 200+ mph.

Gixxer2k4
03-03-2005, 12:38 PM
yeah, i think the trap speed was @ 225mph. I'll try to get the correct time. You can ride a busa, it's like driving a caddy. It practically rides it self.

hey gotbo0st
03-03-2005, 12:40 PM
jesus 225 thats insane

I know the busa is a huge bike, and once you get moving its pretty easy, but I know how I am, and I would twist that throttle so fucking hard it would do backflips before I even knew what the hell was going on.

You sound like you're trying to convert me or something lol

03-03-2005, 01:41 PM
hey... you never know..lol.. i said the same thing when a friend said about getting a bike and I said hell no.. now look at me.. im a bad influence

hey gotbo0st
03-03-2005, 05:52 PM
i can tell lol

dont worry, I considered gettin a bike a long long time ago, but just decided to make my car that fast, mostly because anyone can go buy a bike and they're already fast as hell, but it takes time effort and $$ to make a car that fast.

true, but not everyone has the balls or discipline to ride a bike.

I toyed with getting a bike as well, but I also know that I would be able to resist trying to top it out every chance I got. Or just fucking around in traffic. I'd definitely kill myself.

hey gotbo0st
03-04-2005, 04:59 PM
see, we both came to the same conclusion, and now we both own Z's

great minds think alike

as do simple ones

03-07-2005, 05:01 PM
yeah, true. I always had a passion with sportbikes. I learned quickly and got caught up in it. I know it's a lot cheaper than how much you spent on ur z. You probably could have bought 10 bikes. Yesterday, it was nice down here and took it out for a couple of hours and another bike wanted to run. It was another 1k but he wanted some so I took care of business. I slowed down and he wanted to go again but when I mentioned what gear, he had no clue what I was saying so then I knew he was a rookie. I let him tkae of and haked him. I only got up to 178mph till I let off, It was very windy donw here. It was like 35 mph winds. Things like that makes it fun and I never have to get stuck in traffic. I'll just split all the cars
