This thing is pretty nuts despite its semi-gloss baby blue finish. The center exhaust is so sexy though, even if the back half does look like a crossfire.

The G-Power crew is constantly striving to produce the most insane BMWs on the planet, combining forced induction with thoroughly revised suspensions and aerodynamics to attain completely unreasonable speeds. It's latest creation, the M6 Hurricane CS, takes the standard set by its M5-based Hurricane RS, and straps a duo of superchargers onto the 5.0-liter V10, boosting the coupe's output to 740 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque.

Combined with a remapped ECU and a titanium exhaust, along with carbon fiber seats and a few other tweaks to reduce the curb weight by around 100 pounds, the CS can run to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds, to 124 mph in 9.6 seconds, 187 in 26 seconds and on to a claimed top speed of 230 mph – making it the fastest road-going BMW coupe on Earth.

In addition to the twin superchargers and bespoke body-kit, G-Power fitted the CS with carbon ceramic brakes at all four corners, with the front discs measuring in at 380mm and clamped by six-piston calipers. A coil-over suspension with nine adjustable settings joins front and rear anti-roll bars, and for a scant 390,000 euros, it can be yours. All the details can be found in the press release below the fold.

It looks pretty cool, but the title says 231 mph, the body: 227 mph, and I can tell you for CERTAIN that it would be lucky to do 210. My car has a MUCH lower drag coefficient, MUCH smaller frontal area, weights about 1000lbs less, and makes about 40 less HP. This combo gives me a theoretical top speed of 213mph, and in reality the car would be lucky to hit 205.

I don't believe there has ever been a 230MPH car with under 1000HP.

We hit 188 with a bit over 400BHP :)

yeah but high top speeds are like drag racing speeds, it's easy to go from a 15 to a 14. But exponentially more difficult to go from 11 to 10 and 10 to 9.

As far as what that thing will actually do, you're the engineer:p I'm just a salesguy

Yup, a bone stock showroom LS2 C6 will hit 186 under warantee with 400HP.
An LS3 C6 will do 190 with 430HP
A C6 Z06 will do 198 with 505HP
A C6 ZR1 will do 205 with 638HP

It takes SIX TIMES as much horsepower to double your speed. Once you get to the 180MPH range, adding another 20MPH to your top speed takes almost 200HP. Adding 40MPH to your top speed takes another 600HP... And so forth. Its not "just a few more mph"... It is an enormous amount of extra HP, and then extra heat that needs to be dissipated...

it's not just a question of power at that speed too, aerodynamics are extremely important lest you catch a bit of wind and look up at the ground:p

Chris and Durka were top speed engineers in this case...I believe me sititng in durkas car and Chico in Chris's car were the guinnea pigs.....

so fun
