I am sort of curious what a woman president would be like, I'm just worried on how the rest of the world would react...would we loose even more respect with the world being run exclusively by men or would this help our foreign policy, maybe giving us the new look of a kinder US?

Actually just about everyone else in the world has had female leaders. The US is way behind in that regard. Margaret Thatcher was one of the longest ruling Prime Ministers of Britan. Also many asian countries have had female PMs.

A woman in the White house would definitely mix life up. Maybe for the better, maybe not. The item to consider however is Foreign Policy. It seems in the Middle eastern Countries (to which we are involved in miltary conflict) women are seen as less. Based upon this, what type of respect would they give to a Female President. As I am sure she could fulfill the duties required of the President of the United States, the way other countries act and react to a Female President would be the main determining facotr. Watch the Movie Air Force One. Granted that is a stretch, there are some underlying tones of disrespect towards women in position of power...rant over.

I didn't state that I would not choose that person, I merely based my rant on the outlook of life other than that inside the United States. Since the US acts as the Police force for the whole world, factors such as women in charge and the respect that she would recieve has to be a concern. Personally I do not vote. I do not believe in the process, and therefore choose to abstain. Any time that candidates belittle one another rather than focus on what they can do shows limited intelligence, therefore losing my respect, whether Democrat, Republican or otherwise. Only one time have I seen a candidate not slander another. (In a Senate race, not the Presidential) That is the only time I have chosen to cast my vote.

I agree with you on a few points.. Such as the fact that the rest of the world is way ahead of us as far as electing female leaders.. Brazil, ireland, greenland, britian, ect. ect. But if you dont think that the U.S. acts as "big brother", "police force", whatever you wish to call it. Then you need to wake up from what ever dream your living in and open your eyes.. Do you know that every single country we have ever been involved in a conflict with; we are still there.. That is right EVERY country where we have had any type of conflict. Not just war but conflict.. We are still there. We never completly pull out.. The u.s is more concerned about power and control than anything else.. And ever other country on the planet is by far ahead of us in almost every category that matters

I definately think the U.S. is ready for a female President. I like what Harley said about a female president possibly making us a kinder nation. We could really use that. Maybe if we had a female president in the near future we could get our troops back from Iraq?! I don't see the point in why we are still over there anyway!

Calling the US the world police = misinformation
That was the premise behind the hugely satirical Team America, World Police. The UN Nations is supposed to serve in this role. Yes, the US is part of the UN and so they have been present at most/all military movements but so have many other countries. I can't think of a single instance in the past century when it wasn't an allied force movement. At the very least it is extrememly arrogant for americans to consider themselves the self appointed 'police' for the world. I assure you, none of the rest of the world holds this view.

Anyway, like I said, the rest of the world is far more advanced and liberal when it comes to female politicians and I totally agree that a female president might be just the thing for the US. I just don't think the US would elect one. Hell, they elected Bushie boy only two years ago. I don't have much faith in America's voting sense. I really can't blame people like Dale for not wanting to cast a vote at all either. It's really a sad state of affairs all round.

I also don't think they would elect a black man i.e. barrack obama, so god knows where that leaves us.

I agree that it's time for a female president. Although, I really don't foresee Hilary getting the democratic nomination.

Personally, despite me being considered a Republican, I would rather have Hillary in office then Obama... Experience is critical and he does not have any... That being said, if you had asked me that question 10 years ago I would have much rather had Colin Powell then Hillary. BUT after seeing how he played puppet to Bush about the war (even though he had to have known in his mind it was wrong) I could not in good conscience vote for him.

My vote now is for McCain... but I can't vote anyway, so it is a moot point --B

Perhaps you are not familiar with the United States foreign policy. The invasion in Iraq to overthrow Saddam Hussein. That's all I really have to say. Do you know who put him in power? Oh that's right, we did! Now that he's not playing our ball game anymore, we've decided to kill him. This is not the first time, nor is it the last time we will interfere when we should not.

The US had a special school for these folks.... The "School of the America's" located in Bragg was used for many years to "educate" our allies from many countries on military tactics, insurgency and other skills required to be the next generation of Leaders. Unfortunately we were not the best in picking the attendees. After it was revealed that Noriega and a # of South American Leaders/ Dictators were trained there the school was closed in the late 90's. It was renamed and reopened a few years later.
