Suuuuure... Just don't tell that to David Burshur... Or to the national SCCA women's Autocross champion... Or to the other 3 professional drivers who showed up... Or the 2 guys in top gun this year who broke into the 9s at the drags

Winged Warrior is a charity event for helping children with cancer. The fact that professional drivers, 9 second cars, and national champions show up is just a plus. I'm sure you are much better than everybody there, but hey, some of my best friends race there too, so that's why I go.

I stand by it powerlabs... obviously you have a fairly biased opinion. so you can get your panties wadded up into your little vagina because someone merely suggested that the company that produces the car you own is inferior to another car company. i even noted that it was opinion and yet you still try to justify why i am wrong and stupid and you are smart and superior. you really are the coolest person who could ever possibly exist. rad, man.

Now they say that buying a corvette was a man's way of compensating for something so i guess supercharging one just speaks for itself there now doesn't it?

awwww...come on Dale, you're an old timer here. You know how it is around here. I make fun of vettes, end of story.

I'm just amazed that Powerlabs just keeps going on and on and on and on... Like does he really think he is going to change anyone's mind? lol
The irony is that most us of here do not hate vettes. Just the mentality.

I don't care what is faster or costs more or can out handle the other.

I'd take a Pcar over a Vette any day.

I would too, if I drove a boxter... Paying the same as a Corvette and then realizing your car is about as slow as a bone stock Subaru WRX you could have bought for 30 grand less would really P. me off!
Buying a Boxter is like buying a Smart car and thinking you have a Mercedes Benz

Its all in good fun and I'm just kidding around. Everyone has they're own car preference and if you like Vette's then that's cool.

BTW- The Boxster isn't mine, it was my co-driver's on last year's rally. Believe it or not it made an excellent rally car and kept up with the best. Yes, even the Corvette's.

Wow, you really got all riled up about that didn't you? Don't be sad, its OK... I don't give a damn if GM went bankrupt, I'm not driving their stock, I am just driving the best car they make. Just because another car company may be a "better car company" doesn't mean everything they make is great... You didn't say anything about car companies, you said:

Which I kindly pointed out to you that, unless we were arguing prices, or completely arbitrary specs like what interior makes you feel most at home or what engine noise you like better, there is really nothing "better than" a 911 and a Corvette; Corvettes are lighter, more powerful, make vastly more torque everywhere in the power curve, get better gas mileage, have a wider wheelbase with wider tires and thus can corner faster and stop quicker. I'm sorry if that makes you feel sad; the fact of the matter is that 99% of the buyers of either car are old man who want to feel young again. They can buy whatever they want. I bough a Corvette because I actually race so I wanted the fastest car for my money. Should be easy to understand, no? Its a shame you somehow interpreted that as such an insult.

"They" say lots of things... In my experience buying a Corvette is a way of getting into a world class sportscar for little money, and supercharging one is a way to add 300 more horsepower to a 400HP car. "They" like to get jealous about those things though...

mmmmhhhmmmhh..... fuk it.... can't hold it in...... hahahahahahaha. Obviously you were around the wrong vette............

Bottomline is, each of us drive what we want to drive.

Maybe a corvette is for compensating. However I have never heard a Honda driver say... It might be a honda, but I got a huge Cock....

Maybe it is for the old guy....

Maybe it is, or maybe it isn't better than the Porsche. Who the fuck cares.....

You drive what you want to drive for your own personal reasons...

Me personally, its cause I am old and I have a small dick.

This went from fun banter to some serious shit....... haha

you guys said it right, its all about personal preference, clearly both the Corvettes and Porsches are true performance machines that are meant to be driven hard and enjoyed by their owners..... and hated by everyone else

Fuck the Specs, prices and bench racing.......do you....and laugh at the haters as you roll by......

********At some point however, we might have to line up a few Germans and Americans back in the mid atlantic to see how these cars hook up in real world conditions!!! and then all go out and get drunk after

and, powerlabs, are you co-driving with Dale or bringing your beast on the rally? I really hope your bringing it down..... or all this would seem a bit absurd

A driver would say they are all completely different cars, drive in their owns ways, have their own unique traits (good and bad), and are great machines in their own ways.

To each their own. I like driving Vettes for the V8 power (my dad owns one I drive pretty frequently and the ZR-1 is a serious machine). My turbo Z...more power (dont tout power numbers powerlabs... the displacement "V8" argument isn't always true around here)... completely different to drive and fun in a different way. GT-R totally different.... etc. If you watch...some of us switch and drive each others cars at one point or another anyway....vettes and all. lol Because it's fun but we trust each other and honestly have a certain respect for all high performance machines.

Conclusion.....Who gives a F and this is gonna be a LONG trip if we're getting our panties in a bunch already....radios....OFF.

P.S. I DO HATE VETTES THEY'RE AND OLD DUDES CAR. Can't really get around the stigma...sorry...and...

"TEAM THRILLER" is in effect bishes. See you fools in Savannah.

can we get some car/driver names please?

That doesn't mean I wouldn't own one someday as a toy.
and Dale she loathes you in a loving way obviously. lol

Actually I didn't get riled up at all. Also, I didn't dissect the post. I simply weighed in on the Porsche vs. Corvette arguement with my own personal opinion that Porsche>GM. You had to go and get all defensive and start pulling numbers and stats out of Wikipedia.

You remind me of a Jehovah's witness how you preach about your car so arbitrarily to anyone.

Get off it man, nobody cares how much of a hard on you have for corvettes.
You like them, great for you, others don't. That fact does not mean that you have to try to convince everyone here about your car's superiority. Just means that a lot of us think Vettes are a poor man's Ferrari, and are consistent with the cliche associated with them.

I'm not exactly convinced that the vette is the best race car for the money out there. But to each his own.
