The vettes sit about midway on that list of cars in terms of curb weight. Nothing to boast about.
(depending ofcourse on where you source your specs from - I'm positive you'll try to find numbers proving otherwise)
Finally getting to go on a real one of these. Even if its in a "slow" 335i.
Hey, what are you all doing for mobile internet? I was thinking about picking up a MiFi from VZW for the trip and returning it at the end. Seems to be a good way to get a few computers some form of access.

Alan, last year just about every car was connected to the interweb via broadband. About 8 cars ran a live video feed from the cockpit.
I'm hoping everyone comes armed with their broadband, laptops and at least one webcam. You should check out the sticky in this forum - Things to bring.

Awh I wish I had my laptop set up for this. I might be able to take a work phone and link it up to my laptop for a live feed.
Oh BTW my Fat C5 weighs in at 3075 lbs.
Should I pull the N20 tank out for the race? maybe I'll just hide it.
I don't think I can get her into the 2xxx range without gutting it, which I'm not going to do. So the next logical thing would just be to add more power!
After I buy my house I'll start building a nice LSx for her.
Should we have a revised list of things to bring for this shorter trip?
Any special clothes?
I should have a CB, hand held walkies, and radar detectors. Maybe a GPS I'm trying to decided on if I want to chance it without one.

That's OK; the non turbo 996s make as much power as a stock Subaru STI or a Nissan 350Z
FWIW I wouldn't put an LSx in a C5; you'll take a massive hit if you ever sell the car. You can get more power for less money with a blower, and then take the blower off if/when you want to sell it
