I know you've all been waiting for a while on this. The route and dates have been through many different iterations, and have been thoroughly researched. Without further ado:
The 2007 AKA Rally will go from Salt Lake City, UT to Atlantic City, NJ, and will take place from July 16 - 22, 2007. We'll be taking a northern route across Montana, which should give us plenty of room to run!
I will announce event specifics over the next few weeks. Don't be surprised to see track time, a salt flats run, and another visit to a pro race event (with a massive surprise), among other non-motorsports events.
The entry fee for this year is $3,250, which includes entry, hotels, events, parties and dinner for 2 people in one car. There will be a discount for previous AKA participants.
Entry will be capped at 50 cars this year. We've gotten over a dozen deposits already, before even announcing the route, and I do anticipate the event filling up.
Awesome, sounds like another fun filled Rally coming up.
FYI, if I recall on my way through that area last year, there are a # of places where you will not be able to find 93 octane... SO for all you boosted guys, remember to have an 87 octane, low boost map OR bring your own race fuel...
Octane will definitely be a concern in some of these areas, as much as we've tried to avoid it. We'll try to come up with some craft plans to help out the boosted guys as we get closer to launch.

"Well, that sucks. That's like a $300 windshield."
Should be fun, now just have to decide what car to bring. Montana should have some nice top end runs, reminiscent of New Mexico.
I'm having the same dilema, I have no idea what I'm going to bring. North Dakota will be much better for high speed runs, there is actually a fair amount of twisties in Western Montana till you get within about 150 miles of the border to ND.

I will be going to Italy for around 2 weeks just before the rally and because of work I will not be able to do both. Maybe I can meet you guys at the finish or something.
I am sure that many will cheer, but I cannot make it this year either. (Waiting to hear the roar of excitement). So no bitching, badgering, or anything like that this year from me I guess.
